So, Finally it starts....

Yeah, I know it started yesterday but yesterday I was busy checking it out so I'm updating here today....
So, my mentor is Chad Stewart and I have 15 classmates. Its a huge diversity. Chad's great, had first q&a with him today, he's been in industry for over 19 years and animated in movies like Tarzan, Stuart Little 2, Fantasia, Open season, Polar Express and so many more. Learning from someone like him is gonna be so much fun. No assignments as such for this week, just gotta check every nook and cranny of the AM student website. I'm loving this already that I've reduced my sleep from 8 hours to 5 and planning to reduce it further and produce some good animations. So, from now I'm gonna start posting all my works in progress and finished works and try to get as much feedback as I can for them.

Anyway, gonna write again soon....

Keep Animating!!!

Ciao!

Now that's BRAVE....

Found this on Entertainment weekly....

This weekend, Disney/Pixar’s Cars 2 hits theaters, an international spy caper that looks high on whizbang fun — but before that film begins, audiences will get their first peek at the teaser trailer for Disney/Pixar’s next animated feature, Brave, due June 22, 2012. It’s Pixar Animation Studio’s first fairy tale fantasy, and it marks yet another change of pace for the venerable dream factory. “What we want to get across [with the teaser] is that this story has some darker elements,” director Mark Andrews tells EW. “Not to frighten off our Pixar fans — we’ll still have all the comedy and the great characters. But we get a little bit more intense here.”
That feeling is also apparent in the film’s first poster, which you can see in the official first look below. You may notice some mysterious stones in the background of the poster, and that’s on purpose. “Those stones are actually a pretty important set in the film,” says producer Katherine Sarafian. “We can’t say what happens there, but they were inspired by an actual location in Scotland that we visited multiple times during our research. It was a very powerful setting for the kind of things we want to have happen in the story.”

JOHN LASSETER: Yeah, I was the youngest guy there. Pixar was [originally] the Lucasfilm Computer Division.

AM Scavenger Hunt

I just love AM, they always come up with something new and fun and it keeps getting better....The Scavanger Hunt is great....they make sure that you understand the whole working of Animation Mentor through a Quiz....how thoughtful...So, I'm sure about all my answers except two....well I guess I'll clear my doubts about those questions in next Q&A....

Student Showcase 2011 is out

So the Animation Mentor Student Showcase 2011 is out and its absolutely truly fabulous and amazing and wonderful and terrific.....Its like every adjective is an understatement....I'm just awed after watching it.

My first blog...

Hello there...

I haven't been a blog person before but after joining Animation Mentor, after seeing the enthusiasm of my fellow AMers, I was like, "Nupur , its time you have a blog of your own now". So, here I am writing my first blog post.
I'm gonna use this blog for uploading my animation work, my journey at Animation Mentor, animation facts that I discovered, interesting blogs of other animators, links to wonderful and unique reels or short films. So, first thing I'm gonna do is upload all the animation works I've done so far, its not much though. Please do comment on these videos.
